Laundry Policy/Terms of Service
LaundryAssistants Service Policy
At LaundryAssistants, we take pride in delivering clean, fresh laundry with professional care and reliable service. The following policies help ensure quality, fairness, and transparency for all customers.
Pricing & Minimum Order
LaundryAssistants charges $2.00 per pound for wash, dry, and fold services.
Residential customers have 3 service options:

$2.00 per pound: Essential Clean

$2.25 per pound: Full Refresh

$2.50 per pound: Premium Service
The minimum service order is $35.
Additional services and upgrades may include:

Express Turnaround Options
Prices for add-ons and upgrades will be displayed during booking.
Turnaround Times
Standard turnaround time is 48 hours from pick up.
Optional expedited services may be available:

Next-Day Delivery - Additional $5 per order

Same-Day Delivery - Additional $10 per order
During promotional periods, expedited delivery may be offered at no charge and subject to availability. Same-day orders must be received before 12pm and will be delivered by 8pm. Next-day orders will be delivered 24 hours from pickup time.
Washing Process
LaundryAssistants washes all garments in cold water by default unless the customer requests otherwise.

Customers may request alternative washing preferences when placing an order.
Detergent Preferences
Customers may select their preferred detergent option during booking.
Options may include:

Customer may provide their own detergent
LaundryAssistants will make every effort to honor all detergent preferences.
Laundry Weight & Billing
LaundryAssistants will weigh all laundry at pickup and after washing and drying to determine the final weight.
This ensures all laundry picked up is delivered and accurate pricing based on the clean, finished laundry weight.
Specialty/Bulky Items
Specialty or bulky items such as comforters, blankets, mattress covers, and large linens may incur additional processing fees due to machine capacity and drying time requirements.
Stains
LaundryAssistants does not guarantee stain removal.
While we use professional laundering techniques, some stains may be permanent or require specialized treatment.
Delicate Items
Customers are responsible for identifying items that require special care or delicate washing.
LaundryAssistants is not responsible for damage to items that are not labeled or identified as delicate.
Lost or Damaged Items
We handle every order with care and weigh all laundry at pickup and again at delivery to ensure what we pickup is what we are delivering. LaundryAssistants' liability for lost or damaged items is limited to 10 times the service charge for the affected item.
Claims must be submitted within 48 hours of delivery.
Heavily Soiled Items Policy
LaundryAssistants is designed for everyday wear, household laundry, and standard use items.
We do not accept laundry that is excessively soiled or poses a health or safety risk. This includes, but is not limited to:

Items heavily contaminated with bodily fluids (blood, urine, feces)

Mold-affected items

Pest-infested items
-
Items with strong chemical, fuel, or hazardous odors
If such items are identified at pickup or during inspection, we reserve the right to:

Decline service for those items, or

Apply an additional cleaning fee if the items can be safely processed
Customers will be notified before any additional charges are applied.
Unattended Pickup & Delivery
Customers may authorize unattended pickup or delivery.
LaundryAssistants is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged after delivery when items are left unattended.
Dry Cleaning
LaundryAssistants may coordinate outsourced dry cleaning services through trusted partners.
Turnaround times for dry cleaning may vary depending on the partner cleaner.
Payment Terms
Payment is required at the time of booking or prior to delivery.
LaundryAssistants accepts secure online payments through approved payment providers.
Service Area
LaundryAssistants curently serves customers within 15 miles of Springfield, Massachusetts.
Orders outside the service area may be declined or subject to additional fees.
Policy Updates
LaundryAssistants reserves the right to update this policy at any time to improve service quality and transparency.
